Your domain name impacts your brand and your online marketing. Domain names have a massive impact all over the web in terms of search results to social media results, referring links, type-in traffic, branding, and advertising.

Thinking about what your domain name must be? Simply follow the instructions below and you will have your perfect domain name in just a few minutes.

So then lets see the key set of rules you must follow to select a user friendly & google friendly domain:

1. Use keywords in your domain

Keywords in your domain name plays an important role to tell search engines about your website. You can use keyword combination with other words to make your domain stand out and also boost your chances to rank higher in search results.

2. Make your domain easy to pronounce and spell

You will never know when you will have to share your domain name in person. You should be able to easily share your domain name while speaking as well as writing.

If you’re planning to create a business email address on your domain name, then it should be easy to spell and understand for any listener.

3. Keep it short

Also try and keep the domain name to a max of 2 words, the fewer characters a domain name has, the easier it is to type, say and share. Longer domain names are hard to remember for your users, and they are also prone for more typing errors. Shorter is better

4.Domain Name Extentions and pricing

Dot-com domains are also the most well know extensions in the world as they are the oldest. Many users, especially those who aren’t tech-savvy, will automatically type “.com” at the end of every domain without thinking about it.

At best try to get a .com domain, how ever if it’s unavailable, our suggestion would be to go with the .in for India, .us for USA, .de for germany, .ca for Canada or the corresponding domain for your country.

Alternatively you could choose .net, .co, .biz domains for a corporate business or if you had like you can choose one of the new domain extentions like .club, .site, .io, .gift, . health, .home, .guru, etc as per your business.

Domain pricing (View detailed pricing)

  1.  .in, .eu and other country domain would be the cheapest domain extentions.
  2. .com, .net, .org, .biz domains are averagely prices
  3. The new domain extentions like .club, .site, .io, .gift, . health, .home, .guru, etc are expensive.

Search your domain name now for a list of available domains.

5. Unique and brandable

You want to make sure that your domain name is unique and brandable, so that it stands out in your readers’ mind from millions of websites on the internet.

You should look at other business websites in your industry to see what kind of domain names they’re using. This will give you an idea of what’s acceptable, and it will also prevent you from accidentally using a trademark domain name or get accused of copying.

6. Avoid Hyphens at all cost

Hyphens can be a sign of spam domains, and you don’t want your business to be associated with spam. It can be very tempting to choose a domain name with a hyphen because it has your preferred keywords or the domain you want is already taken. The problem is when your users forget to type in the hyphen they will likely end up at your competitor’s site.

7. Avoid Double Letters

Avoid domain names with doubled letters because it increases your chances of losing traffic to typing errors.

For example, a domain like businesssetup.com or presssetup.com will be more prone to typing errors and result in lost traffic. Avoiding doubled letters will also make your domain easy to type and more brandable.
